2/24/2020 – SEASONS
I’m here in Detroit, MI, and although it is only in the low 40s. It’s beginning to look a lot like Springtime! It is my favorite season of all. Why? You ask. Well, it is a season of reaping a harvest. Beautiful buds planted Hello Warrior Woman,
in the season previously begin to turn into flowers. An array of Roses, Daisies, Hyacinthus, Calla Lilies, Orchids, Peonies, and my favorite Sunflowers start to grow and sprout their lovely petals. Alone this is enough to bask in from a season that offers so much. Staying in a state that has four seasons every quarter of the year is promising and offers hope.
The seasons are directly related to our lives in more ways than we can even imagine. Winter is a time to store up our households, stay warm and cozy, and protecting our bodies from the bitter cold. Fall is a time to let all things die-off that no longer serves—a pruning, watching as the leaves on the trees turn many beautiful colors before they fall from the trees, a time to clean up what has fallen, to prepare for the next. Summer is a time to soak up the sun, indulge in activities, travel, and spend time with family and friends, diving into a cold pool, river or lake, a time of festivities and celebrations of many things accomplished. Spring is a time to see the bountiful return of things we have sown in the other seasons, watching as the birds’ dance in the sky, putting on a show for us. Being a witness and watching the beauty of the world change right before our eyes.
I believe that we all go through “seasons” as Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 says. (https://www.bible.com/bible/1/ECC.3.KJV). God was strategic when he created the heavens and the earth and you and I. Therefore, we can embrace every season, knowing that He already has a plan for the end. There was a time in my life where I felt I could not get a break from anything. I was homeless for three years, and in those three years, my uncle, my mom, and aunt all died in 9 months. Unbeknownst to me at the time, God was stripping me to make me stronger for what is to come. We are living in spiritual warfare; you do not believe me just turn on your television or scroll through your social media feeds. There has never been any time like now to get ready for the second coming of Jesus.
In all things, pray without ceasing. Always on guard for the wicked things to dress up and lure you into the things of this world. Always remember that we are spiritual beings having a human experience. Experience is a practical contact with and observation of facts or events. https://www.lexico.com/en/definition/experience. We are to be realistic but looking at it through spiritual lenses. As many of us have heard “WWJD – What Would Jesus Do?” So, allow yourself to experience the things of this life on earth. But grow from them and let your life lead you into a place of absolute rest, journeying through these seasons and coming out better with your wings helping you to soar onto greater heights!
Always be blessed and highly favored,
